As a way to give back to the community, Lightning Velo has adopted a two-mile stretch of road along PCH from Seal Beach Boulevard south to Anderson street and performs highway clean-up once a month after our Saturday ride (after the ride on the Saturday following the General Meeting). We don orange vests (optional), picker-uppers, and brooms to pick up trash and sweep the road. Volunteers are rewarded with a lunch afterwards. According to CALTRANS, we are one of the only organizations that actually does the clean up work ourselves. Those who would like to participate can contact Dan Dibb.
